God's Word

Revelation 3:8

I know all the things you do, and I have opened a door for you
that no one can close.
You have little strength, yet you obeyed My word and did not deny Me."

God is always with us, and there's no denying that.  However, His Word is also with us always, too.  A friend of ours, Dennis Murphy, wrote an amazing song, "God's Word", and it's beautifully performed by The Kingdom Heirs (who you know is our favorite 'group', and are the 'resident Southern Gospel Quartet' at Dollywood).

Another of their songs is "Lord Your Word is Still True" written by Diane Wilkinson.  Here is the chorus:

"Lord, when You saved me…the promises You gave me
Sustained me…and I know they are still mine
For it’s settled in Heaven, Your Word lives forever
Never changed by the passing of time
So whether you’re blessing, or whether you’re testing my faith
I’ll still trust You
Though the world falls around me….
Lord, Your Word is still true
"

What I'm leading up to is that 'God's Word' is all around us, and should be permanently rooted in our hearts and our spirits. It's God's Book of Rules, which not only tells HIS heart, but acts as a guide on how to live our lives to please and honor Him.

Hope you enjoy the following which I found extremely insightful. Also, hope that you are having a great week.  Maggie
