Faithful

2 Timothy 4:7
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful."

I don't know about you, but I sincerely hope and pray that the above Scripture can be applied to my life, not only as my faithfulness to the Lord, but faithful to my family, my friends, and to my 'Christian family' around the world, always
treating them all as I appreciate being treated myself.

Luke 6:31 - "Do to others as you would have them do to you".

When a person loses a loved one, outpouring is extreme - for a short period
of time.   When a person has been ill and really has
a problem taking care of himself, others rally to help - for a short period of time.  When 'we' are the 'giving' ones, how long do 'we' maintain a personal, caring approach to those who need the reassurance of friends and family?  Not long enough,
I am certain.

Many times in the past, I have written that we are SUPPOSED to be Jesus' hand and feet on this earth --- letting others know always that they are in thoughts and prayers --- and if a need arises, able to feel free to contact those who need help or who could help.  It's always been extremely hard for me to ask for help - that that comes from both my Mother and my Daddy.  I've mentioned before that my Mother's 'favorite' hymn was 'Others':

Lord, help me live from day to day
In such a self-forgetful way
That even when I kneel to pray
My prayer shall be for—Others.

Refrain

Others, Lord, yes others,
Let this my motto be,
Help me to live for others,
That I may live like Thee.

Help me in all the work I do
To ever be sincere and true
And know that all I’d do for You
Must needs be done for—Others.

Refrain

Let “Self” be crucified and slain
And buried deep: and all in vain
May efforts be to rise again,
Unless to live for—Others.

Refrain

And when my work on earth is done,
And my new work in Heav’n’s begun,
May I forget the crown I’ve won,
While thinking still of—Others.

Refrain

Do you let others know that they are in your thoughts and prayers?  Do you ask others if there's anything you can do to physically help them?  Most of the time, those two things can immensely brighten their day.

Hope you have a blessed day.  Maggie __________________________________________________________________

"Faithful"

"They are new every morning: great is Thy faithfulness."  Lamentations 3:23

I woke up this morning with this old hymn repeating over and over in my thoughts.  I typed it below because I felt that someone needs to be reminded this morning that the Lord is faithful.  He always has been and always will be; whether we are or not; even when it appears that He isn't.  Be comforted and encouraged by that truth this morning.  Regardless of what you may be going through, God is still faithful.  Being faithful is not just something that He does, but it is who He is.

Have a great day.  God is faithful!

"Great Is Thy Faithfulness"

"Great is Thy faithfulness," O God my Father,
There is no shadow of turning with Thee;  -
(James 1:17)
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not -
(Malachi 3:6; Lamentations 3:22)
As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be. -  (Hebrews 13:8)

"Great is Thy faithfulness!" "Great is Thy faithfulness!"
Morning by morning new mercies I see; -
(Lamentations 3:22,23)
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided -
(Philippians 4:19)
"Great is Thy faithfulness," Lord, unto me! -  (2 Timothy 2:13)

Summer and winter, and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above,
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.   -  (Psalm 145:8)

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth, - (John 14:27)
Thy own dear presence to cheer and to guide;  -
(Psalm 48:14)
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,  -
(2 Corinthians 12:9)
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!  - (Psalm 68:19)
