Isn't It Strange?

What does the word "STRANGE" mean to you?  Webster's defines it as: "unusual, extraordinary, or curious; oddoutside of one's previous experience; hitherto unknown; unfamiliar; unaccustomed to or inexperienced in; unacquainted."

There are many things going on in the World today which personally, I find 'strange' ('unaccustomed to').  However, MANY of them are prophesized
in the Bible.
Luke 21:25
And there will be strange signs in the sun, moon, and stars.
And here on earth the nations will be in turmoil,
perplexed by the roaring seas and strange tides."

Hebrews 13:9
"So do not be attracted by strange, new ideas.
Your strength comes from God’s grace."

1 Peter 4:12
"Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through,
as if something strange were happening to you."

"Great and Almighty God we desperately need your presence in our nation today — even more, individual hearts require your healing power. Bless those who are blessing the weak and the helpless . . . heal the wounded . . . give hope to the hopeless.

"Heavenly Father, help our leaders do the right thing.  Turn away harsh words, and direct hearts and minds to find solutions.

"We remember Isaiah’s words, 'but those who hope is in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.'  Make it so, Lord.  Amen"

Praying together,
John Lind

~ MountainWings ~ After The Rain

Whatever your cross, whatever your pain,
There will always be sunshine after the rain.

Perhaps you may stumble, perhaps even fall,
But God's always ready to answer your call.

He knows every heartache, sees every tear,
A word from His lips can calm every fear.

Your sorrows may linger throughout the night,
But suddenly vanish at dawn's early light.

The Savior is waiting somewhere above
To give you His grace and send you His love.

Whatever your cross, whatever your pain,
God always sends rainbows after the rain.

"But as it is written, eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him." (1 Corinthians 2:9)

Sometimes, we can get into the "if I didn't have bad luck, I'd have no luck at all" mindset. That's exactly how the devil wants us to feel.  "Life" throws us curve balls, and sometimes we think that's all there is.

Spring baseball (my 'favorite' sport) has begun.  IN that sport, 'three strikes and you're out'.  On the other hand, in the real world, we're never "out" because we have our Lord.  Satan continues to 'bat around' the world, and personally knock us down, but while we're 'down there', if we just get on our knees and pray, our Father will lift us up.

Hope you have a Spirit-filled, uplifting day.  Maggie

This may be strange but how true !!!!!.
Isn 't it strange how a 20 dollar bill seems like such a large amount when you  donate it to church,  but such a small amount when you go shopping?

Isn 't  it strange how 2 hours seem so long when you 're at church, and how short they seem when you ' re watching a good  movie?
Isn ' t it strange that you can ' t find a word to say when you ' re praying but..you have no trouble thinking what to talk about with a friend?

Isn 't it strange how difficult and boring it is to read one chapter of the Bible but how easy it is to read 100 pages of a popular  novel?

Isn ' t it strange
how everyone wants front-row-tickets to concerts or games
but
they do whatever is possible to sit at the last row in  Church?

Isn 't  it strange
how we need to know about an event for Church 2-3 weeks before the day so we can include it in our agenda, but we can adjust it for other events in the last minute?

Isn't  it strange
how difficult it is to learn a fact about God to share it with others; but how easy it is to learn, understand, extend and repeat  gossip?

Isn't it strange
how we believe everything that magazines and newspapers say
but.... we question the words in  the Bible?

 Isn't it strange
how everyone wants a place in heaven but...
they don't want to believe, do, or say anything to get  there?

Isn't it strange
how we send jokes in e-mails and they are forwarded right away but when we are going to send messages about God,  we think about it twice before
we share it with others?

   Stay safe,
have a wonderful relationship
with God,
and remain blessed by His almighty hands.
