GAME DAY

Matthew 28:20
"....... And be sure of this:
I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

For those of you who never watch T.V. and/or couldn't care less about football, you do not realize that TODAY is THE SUPER BOWL !!  It's the last football game until the Fall, and a cause for not only pigskin joy, but of deep sadness for the supreme football fan.  Now, I'm not 'clueless' because I DO watch T.V. and I do like football.  However, I find it     somewhat extensive if one cannot find any channel (with the possible exception of Hallmark) which is NOT discussing THE 'big game'.  ESPN, one would understand.  The 'news' channels also are acceptable.  However, even the Weather Channel, with Biblical winter storms occuring all over the country, is discussing the Super Bowl temperture in Texas.

Over the years, I've heard Pastors comment that if we get so excited at sporting events, why should we not be just as enthusiastic about worshipping the Lord?  Unlike football 'season', as well as the times of the year of baseball and basketball 'seasons', we are able to worship God all year long --- 24/7 !!  I promise that I'm not confronting 'arm chair quarterbacks' all over the country.  Remember that I said that I do like football !!  I just want folks to understand that unlike different sports' seasons, our Heavenly Father never goes away - that he is with us always, and doesn't depend on the gridiron (football), the diamond (baseball), or the court (basketball).

Most of us tend to be overly zealous fans in one way or another, and may even yell at the T.V. at times.  Hey, that's great -- enthusiasm is one of the best "keys" to a full and rewarding life.  But we shouldn't stop there.  As a matter of fact, every day should start off with enthusiasm and thanks to the Lord for another day.  Hope your day today will be a good one, and remember that YOU are "the victor" though Him.  Maggie

 Psalm 16:8
"I know the Lord is always with me.  I will not be shaken, for He is right beside me."

Isaiah 41:10
   "
Don’t be afraid, for I am with you.
Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you.
I will hold you up with My victorious right hand

Don't Speak -- Shout Your Victory!

"From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same, the Lord's name is to be praised."
(Psalm 113:3)

Praise God. Praise Him in the morning. Praise Him at noon. Praise Him at night. If you've never praised God in your life,  then get started right now. Praise Him for freedom. Praise Him for healing and Calvary. Praise Him for the Name of Jesus.

You ought to be shouting your way to work and shouting your way back home! If there's anything the devil can't stand, it's praise.

If you've taken territory from the devil and he's coming against you to get it back, this is not the time to sit down and
whine about how things aren't working out. It's not time to decide that God has taken His hand off your life.

It IS time to get into the Word and get yourself reanchored in God's promises. It is time to keep that promise constantly
before your eyes and in your heart. It is time
to pray the prayer of faith and take your stand on the basis of His provision.
It is
time to continue to do the things you know to do.

When Satan starts shaking your mountain, don't retreat and run for cover. Speak to the mountain with the authority you
wield in the Name of Jesus Christ. Then, when you're done with that, start to praise and shout the victory.

You don't have to be afraid of Satan. He'll be afraid of you!
