Ezekiel 16:62
"And I will reaffirm my covenant with you, and you will know that I am the Lord."
2 Corinthians 2:8
"So I urge you now to reaffirm your love for Him."
Do you ever look for 'a sign'? You know what I mean..... some affirmation that 'everything's gonna be okay' ??
Hope you have a reaffirming day. Maggie

The Sign We Couldn't Miss
It seemed like we'd never find a doctor in this small town. But God's love was with us...
By Rita Knorr, as written for Guideposts
My husband, Gil, and I had finally reached Perry, Georgia, a quaint little town west of Savannah. We’d been RVing for weeks, touring the South and exploring the cities and towns tucked along the way. Gil guided us through the tree-lined streets, dotted with boutiques and charming restaurants. There was so much to see! I looked over and shot Gil a smile. But he was grimacing. "Gil, what’s wrong?" I asked.
"Nothing," he said, flatly. "I’m fine."
I could tell by his clenched jaw and stiff grip on the wheel that he was in pain. "Gil, what’s the matter?" I pressed.
"Well…I don’t want to ruin our trip, but my arthritis has been flaring up for the past few hours. I should probably get to a doctor," he admitted.
A doctor! I knew he had to be in severe pain to mention that. Gil was always so strong. Where would we find help out here though? We’d never been to Perry, and the nearest hospital or clinic could be miles away. I kept my eyes peeled while Gil steered us down the main road in town.
We passed a hardware store, an ice-cream shop, a library…everything but a clinic or hospital. It had been almost an hour and now we were in the neighboring town of Warner Robins. Every second that passed, my worry grew. "The pain is getting worse," said Gil. Lord, please send us a sign to let us know you’re with us, I prayed aloud.
Just then, we drove by a church. A sign with large, bold letters stood out front, almost as if it were calling out to us. Gill and I saw it at the same time. "Are you looking for a sign from God? Well here it is." Gil let out a loud, hearty laugh, and so did I. I felt my worry disappear. I could tell Gil was less tense too.
Just down the street, there stood another sign. One for a walk-in clinic.

"Times Of Life"
"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me." Psalm 23:4
This morning, again, there has been a song repeating over and over in my heart. The words are, "The God of the mountain, is still God in the valley. When things go wrong, He'll make them right. And the God of the good times, He's still God in the bad times. The God of the day, is still God in the night."
Life is made up of various "times" - we learn this from creation. We learn this through the changing of the seasons- there isn't just one season, there are four. We can look at the landscape and see that it isn't all the same- there are mountainous areas, wildernesses, forests, valleys, the desert, etc. They each are needful and they are all part of this physical life.
We go through spiritual seasons as well. There are times when everything in our lives is wonderful and the blessings are flowing. Then there are times when it looks "dead" with no sign of "life". There are also times when we feel like we are in a valley or on a mountain top.
But regardless of where the "times" of life take us- God doesn't change and He is with us in them all. He is with us on the mountain top. He is with us in the valley. He is with us in the wilderness. He is with us when it feels like the windows of heaven are open and when it feels like they are shut up. He is with us when we face "dry spells" and when the "river" is flooding our lives.
I don't know where you might be this morning. You might be in one of those times when everything is going good and it doesn't feel like it could get any better. Or you might be in one of those times when it feels like it can't get any worse. But wherever you are, you are not alone- God is with you.
Have a great day. God is still God even when things change in your life... and He is still with you.

As long as we trust and have faith, everything will always be ok. It's only when we start to doubt that things get shaky. Reaffirming signs do help calm fears, though.

Yes . . .
Wherever you are--in a time of faith and plenty, or a time of scarcity and doubt--God is with you. Look for the signs of his presence and you will see.
In Faith . . .
