(A Man and) 'A Woman of Worship'
Scripture: "The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to Him. For He laid the earth's foundation on the seas and built it on the ocean depths."
Psalm 24:1-2.
You know, worship takes on many forms. Whether we're at church or at home or driving in the car, we can find a form for worship. Why? Because worship is a heart thing. It's about adoring, praising, loving and treasuring what we know and understand with the spirit. It's about giving God something back in a way that suggests we're in awe of all that has been done for us and for who He is.
The psalmist reminds us that the "world and all its people belong to Him." That means that worship happens in ever city, town, and community around the world where hearts are turned toward the Creator. Worship is not something we simply do, but it is a great part of who we are. We are beings that have been taught to love and to enjoy and to get excited about the gifts of life. We are part of a greater whole and it all belongs to God.
"The earth is the Lord's and everything in it." That statement is so true. It does not give room for a second runner up. It is a truth and the more we embrace that truth, the more we can worship in real joy. We will feel it on the mountaintops and by the river's edge and we will feel it in the sanctuaries of our hearts and our churches.
We will be a walking form of worship every day that we begin to understand a little more fully that worship is a foundation stone of all that makes life real. A woman of worth worships with her whole heart and mind and soul. With her whole life. Worship is a lifestyle that makes people desire what you have inside.
"We should dedicate ourselves to becoming in this life the most perfect worshipers of God we can possibly be, as we hope to be through all eternity."
~ Brother Lawrence
Prayer: Lord, let me dedicate myself to You to worshiping You with the spirit of love and joy that come from a heart that is grateful for the many gifts You have given. Help me to worship you in Spirit and in Truth. Amen.
Ladies, I so encourage you to be woman of power by being worshipers today. Take time today to spend time worshiping God. Take just one minute to praise Him for all He is and all He has done for you. Praise Him for the miracle in advance. You are all such amazing women with such amazing destiny. Praise Him for the work He has done and is continuing to do in you.
