No, this is not going to be a political 'daily', even though when I first heard this, I teared up and literally got 'goosebumps'.  Yes. I consider myself 'a Patriot'.  I love this country, and believe it's the best place to live in the world.  Right now, there is so much 'going on' here about which we, as Believers, should be exposing, fighting, and protesting. However, we REALLY need to be 'in line' with God's Word, and in our hearts, it's HIS laws to be followed, the ones on which this country was founded.  Hope you have a great day.  Maggie 
 
Nehemiah 10:28-29
    The Vow of the People   

 "Then the rest of the people—the priests, Levites, gatekeepers, singers, Temple servants, and all who had separated themselves from the pagan people of the land in order to obey the Law of God, together with their wives, sons, daughters, and all who were old enough to understand - joined their leaders and bound themselves with an oath. They swore a curse on themselves if they failed to obey the Law of God as issued by his servant Moses. They solemnly promised to carefully follow all the commands, regulations, and decrees of the Lord our Lord"

Romans 8:35
"Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean He no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?"
 
Matthew 5:11
   "Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you,
and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for My sake."
 
During 1857-1858 revival broke out in Philadelphia, PA. A young preacher, Dudley Tyng, one day preached to 5000 men using Exodus 10:11 as his text: “Go now ye that are men and serve the Lord.” About 1000 responded to his invitation that evening. On the following Wednesday he was out checking his corn-shelling machine when his arm accidentally got pulled into the machine and was severed off. The doctors did not believe he would live. While Tyng lay in great pain, he entreated his doctor to accept Christ. With a room filled with other preachers he asked them to “Sing, sing, Can you not sing.” His last admonition to his friends was to “Tell the people to stand up for Jesus.” George Duffield witnessed his friend’s death that day and heard his dying words. That week he wrote the words to our hymn, “Stand Up, Stand Up for Jesus.”

                                                              Move Closer Every Day

"I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without Me ye can do nothing." (John 15:5)

Abiding in Jesus isn't something that comes automatically to any believer. It's a lifestyle that involves discipline and effort.

We have to choose to give ourselves to our union with Him, to give Him first place where our attention is concerned. If we want to grow spiritually, if we want to walk in power and in fellowship with the Lord, we'll have to spend the time it takes to know Him.

That's not something we can do for a while and then forget about either. We must continue in it every day. For the moment we stop moving closer to Jesus, we always start drifting away.

You see, here in this natural world you're surrounded by ungodliness. You live in a body that is totally natural. Unless you purposely counter that with daily prayer and time in the Word, your body and your mind will simply give in to the pressures around you and go the way of the world.

Right now, make a decision to give yourself to the things of God. Focus your attention on the Lord. Surround yourself with His Word. Listen to preaching and teaching tapes while you're getting dressed, driving to work, preparing dinner, working on your car, exercising, cleaning house and when you go to bed. Listen to the Word of God anytime, anywhere!

Abide in Him today.

Scripture Study:  John 15:1-11

“I am the true grapevine, and My Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and He prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more.  You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you.  Remain in Me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in Me.

“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in Me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing. Anyone who does not remain in Me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned. But if you remain in Me and My words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted! When you produce much fruit, you are My true disciples. This brings great glory to My Father.

“I have loved you even as the Father has loved Me. Remain in My love. When you obey My commandments, you remain in My love, just as I obey my Father’s commandments and remain in His love. I have told you these things so that you will be filled with My joy. Yes, your joy will overflow! "

 MUSLIM PRAYER GATHERING IN WASHINGTON, DC

URGENT PRAYER! Muslims Convening on US Capitol Hill

The purpose of this Emergency Prayer Alert is to call the body of Christ to rise up – to take the place of authority Jesus Christ has given to us to defeat the diabolical plans and schemes of Satan. It is a clarion call to pray for the redemption of Muslims around the globe who don’t know Christ, and for the protection of the United States of America and other countries.

We must be persistent in prayer for the 10/40 Window nations because Satan is always coming up with new tactics. As Paul says, (Colossians 4:2) we must ”continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with Thanksgiving “

A massive Islamic Jummah Prayer (Friday prayer) event is scheduled to take place on September 25, 2009, TODAY. Organizers expect 50,000 Muslims to gather to ”express and illustrate the wonderful diversity of Islam.“ According to their website, www.islamOnCapitolHill.com, the goal will be to ”manifest Islam’s majestic spiritual principals as revealed by Allah….“

The gathering is being heralded as an opportunity to ”inspire a new generation of Muslims.“ They are planning to hold it in Washington, DC at the US Capitol building in the very area where US presidents are inaugurated, with the Athan (Islamic call to prayer) ”echoing off of the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument and other great edifices that surround Capitol Hill.“

The central purpose, the website says, is Islamic prayer. Muslims from a variety of races, ethnic backgrounds, and nationalities will be coming together to show their solidarity and the ”wonderful diversity of Islam.“

While this unprecedented event has caused some Christians to question the intentions of the participants, wondering if perhaps violence or even conquest might be part of the agenda, it has caused others to see a unique evangelism opportunity. Perhaps, they suggest, God is driving the ”fish“ into our nets. We must pray Christians will use this as a chance to reach Muslims with the Gospel and that it will result in an abundant catch – and for the Lord of the Harvest to give strategies, wisdom and favor to those manning the nets.

This time of Jummah.is scheduled to take place from 4:00 AM EDT until 7:00 PM EDT on Friday, September 25, 2009. We are requesting churches, ministries, prayer networks, Bible study groups, families and friends to come together and pray strategically during this period. This is a very important time for Christian watchmen all over the globe to take their positions of prayer. Christians in 10/40 Window nations would be martyred for organizing a gathering like this. But the Constitution of the US affords all citizens the right to assemble and peacefully demonstrate. So this gathering is legal. It is our responsibility to pray the Lord protects America from the subtle tactics satan is using to release demonic prayers in a nation founded on Christian principles.

PRAY FOR:

THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

  • Muslim groups have begun a 20 year plan to make America an Islamic country by the year 2020. (www.TheReligionofPeace.com) Pray America will never become an Islamic country, but one that is dedicated to the Lord Jesus Christ in service and in deed. Pray for an immediate end to any of the ”Islam 20 Year Plan“ that is in process or that is already taking place in America. Pray for an immediate decline and total end to the growth of radical and systematic Islam.
  • Pray for peace to prevail throughout this event – among the participants, in Washington, DC and throughout the United States of America.
  • Ask the LORD to dispatch His warring angels to oversee, contain, and defeat any spirits of destruction, terror or violence that seek to use this meeting of Muslims as an opportunity to wreak havoc. Pray that every demonic attack against the United States is revealed. Pray the Bible. Mark 4:22. Pray for every terrorist plot to be revealed, and those planning evil to be caught and quickly brought to justice.
  • Pray for the Lord to give governmental authorities keen insight on how to find terrorists wherever they may be hiding. (The Bible, Mark 4:22 and Psalm 91)
  • Pray that the United States will not now or ever become an Islamic nation, and for the US to return to her Christian roots.

MUSLIMS

  • Pray for Jesus to be revealed in glorious power – signs, wonders, visions, dreams, and miracles – to the people who come together for this event. Pray for each one to receive Christ as Savior and Lord.
  • Pray every Muslim in Washington DC will receive a divine revelation that there is no other name in heaven or on earth by which they can be saved – and that name is Jesus Christ. Pray the Father will draw them to His Son by His Spirit in faith and repentance. (The Bible, John 6:44)
  • Pray Muslims will receive a revelation from the Lord that their only guarantee to spend eternity in Heaven with God the Father is through His only Son, Jesus Christ. (The Bible, John 14:6)
  • Pray for people around the world to see Islam as a false religion and pray they will have their ears, eyes, and hearts open to hear the voice of the Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ and to receive His Salvation.
  • Pray for the Lord to send Christian Believers into the lives of Muslims to share the Gospel with them in power and in truth using words they can understand. (The Bible, Romans 10:14)
  • Pray for Muslims as well as other unbelievers to receive revelation understanding that their only hope for forgiveness and acceptance with the Father is through Jesus Christ’s Blood He shed for everyone and His finished work on Calvary’s Cross. (The Bible, I Corinthians 1:18)
  • Pray for the Holy Spirit to humble Muslims and enable them to understand their desperate need for Jesus Christ. (The Bible, Psalm 18:27; Proverbs 8:13, 29:23)
  • Pray that Muslims will not reject the glorious Salvation available through Christ. (The Bible, Hebrew 2:1-3)
  • Pray for a mighty revival to break out among the Muslims as Muslims gather in the US, and let it spread across the world and every Muslim will have the opportunity to receive CHRIST JESUS as Savior and LORD.

SPIRITUAL WARFARE

  • Pray for the false gods of Allah and Muhammad, along with the demonic spirits of manipulation, religion, control, hatred, rejection, abandonment, and witchcraft to be bound and cast down in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Loose Godly unity, peace, and love.
  • Bind demonic forces that are blocking Muslims from receiving the Gospel. Pray all Muslims will come to faith in Jesus Christ, surrender to Him alone as the One and Only True and Living God. (The Bible, Ephesians 2:8-10)
  • Pray for the Athan (Islamic call to prayer) and all other Islamic prayers to be rendered ineffective and powerless, and for God’s impenetrable hedge of protection to be placed around leaders and governmental agencies of the United States of America. Pray that these leaders will not be affected in any way or influenced by witchcraft prayers and the schemes of evil principalities and powers. Pray the LORD’s Will and Purpose for the US will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
  • Pray for this event to be the flashpoint and starting place for an awakening and revival in America and around the world. Pray for God’s Spirit to be poured out on Muslims everywhere.

THE CHURCH

  • Pray for the people of the LORD to be fervent in prayer in the days leading up to, during, and after this event, interceding on behalf of those whose eyes have been blinded by the enemy and asking the LORD to thwart the enemy’s plans. Pray for a great harvest of souls that adds multiple millions of new Christian Believers to the Kingdom of God TODAY, 25th September, 2009.
  • Pray the five fold ministry, Apostles, Pastors, Teachers, Evangelist, and Prophets will go to this gathering to minister and lead the Muslims to Christ.
  • Pray for God to remind Christian Believers that He did not give us a spirit of fear but of Love, Power and a sound mind. (The Bible, 1 Timothy 1:7)
  • Pray Christians remember our fight is not against the Muslims. For we do not fight against flesh and blood but against demonic principalities, rulers, powers of darkness, wickedness and against evil forces in the heavenly realms. (The Bible, Ephesians 6:12)
  • Pray for Christian Believers to be reminded that we pray from a position of authority because the weapons of our spiritual warfare are not carnal but mighty through God for pulling down and destroying the works of satan. (The Bible, 2 Corinthians 10:4-5)
  • Pray for God to give Christians His heart of love for the Muslims and ask Him for strategies to reach them with the Gospel. (The Bible, John 3:16; 1John 4:9-10)
  • Pray for wisdom in evangelism efforts – that Christians will communicate God’s love and the Salvation found only in Jesus Christ through their actions, words, and attitudes.

THE KINGDOM OF GOD

  • Pray that our prayers will be used by the Lord to prepare the way for the seed of His Truth to be planted in fertile soil in the hearts of those who don’t know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Prayer releases divine power against the enemy that keeps people in captivity. (The Bible, Luke 11:21-22)
  • Pray for the LORD’S mighty Purpose to be fulfilled in bringing His Kingdom to the Muslim world, setting the captives free from the chains of darkness and welcoming them into an eternal relationship with Himself through the immaculate conception, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Father’s Only Son.
  • Pray the new Christian Believers will be properly discipled in the ways of the Kingdom of God.

Pray The Bible

Psalm 27; Psalm 91 and Ephesians 6:12-17; 2 Corinthians 2:14; I John 4:4 – over God’s people as we stand in the gap, expecting an enormous harvest of souls to come into the Kingdom of God and His dear Son on September 25, 2009, and everyday until He comes again.

Examine and Cleanse

How do you find favor with God? How do our country and leaders do the same?

(II Chronicles 29:2) Hezekiah became king and determined to do “what was right in the eyes of the Lord.”  That meant that he and Israel needed to examine themselves and begin again to do what God had commanded. The priests and the Levites consecrated themselves and the temple so people could worship appropriately. And then Hezekiah encouraged the people of Israel by reminding them, “… for the LORD your God is gracious and compassionate. He will not turn His face from you if you return to Him.” (II Chronicles 30:9)

When you find yourself discouraged, allow the Lord God to work in your heart to examine and cleanse. Pray that God will find favor with all you say and do. Allow the Lord to move you to pray for our leaders that they would seek God and His wisdom, and that their actions would find favor with Him. Then be encouraged that God will be gracious and merciful in response to your intercessions.
