In The Good Times

"In The Good Times"

"I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth."  Psalm 34:1

Today I was thanking the Lord for seeing me through the trying times of life, then I remembered that He sees me through all the times of my life- good times as well as bad times.  He sees me through each day of my life.  He's there helping me, strengthening me, sustaining me, keeping me- at all times.  He doesn't just see me through the difficult times, He sees me through the good times also.  If it weren't for Him, I couldn't make it at all.  He wakes me up each day.  He gives me my daily bread.  He meets each and every need.  He's with me when the sun is shinning as well as when the night is falling.  He sustains me when the cabinets are full as well as when they are empty.  He's seeing me through when it's smooth sailing just like He does when the storms are beating upon my life threatening to destroy me.

I wonder why it is that we are quick to thank Him and rejoice when we see how He has brought us through a difficult time, but we neglect to thank Him for bringing us through the good times.  I am not saying that we shouldn't thank Him for bringing us through the trying times, what I am saying is that we should always thank Him for the wonderful things He does for us everyday- not just when we are in need.

Is everything going good for you-- no problems, nothing but blessings?  Then don't forget to thank Him that all is well, and remember that He is the one who is causing it to be well.

Have a great day.  Thank Him for bringing you through all the times of your life-- good and bad.
