Proverbs 3:24
"If you sit down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet."
"If you sit down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet."
The Lord brings down a curtain of darkness every 24 hours to shut off the day that is past and to get you ready for tomorrow. Did you ever stop to think of the beneficence of the Lord in doing that? Assimilate know-how from the past, live well today and you will come to tomorrow in the strength of right thinking and right living.
Heavenly Father, I close this day with thoughts of you. All day long, you have watched over me. Forgive the sins I committed today. Give me insight and understanding so that I will not commit them again. Watch over me and give me a good night’s rest. Give your angels charge over all of us this night and every night as long as our lives shall last. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
