What If
Romans 4:17 - ".......calleth those things which be not as though they were."
This scripture is not nearly as 'broad' as it first appears.
Romans 4:4,5 - "When people work, their wages are not a gift, but something they have earned. But people are counted as righteous, not because of their work, but because of their faith in God who forgives sinners."
Romans 4:13 - "...God’s promise to give the whole earth to Abraham and his descendants was based not on his obedience to God’s law, but on a right relationship with God that comes by faith."
Romans 4:20-25 - "Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God. He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever He promises. And because of Abraham’s faith, God counted him as righteous. And when God counted him as righteous, it wasn’t just for Abraham’s benefit. It was recorded for our benefit, too, assuring us that God will also count us as righteous if we believe in Him, the One who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. He was handed over to die because of our sins, and He was raised to life to make us right with God."
When our boys were growing up, they were very familiar with my saying,
"Momma don't play 'what if' !!" I've always TRIED to be firm in the 'IS', and tried to back away from the 'could be'..... However, when it comes to GOD's promises, to GOD's plan, and to GOD's time, all is possible.

'What if' God decided to stop leading us tomorrow because we didn't follow Him today?
'What if' God couldn't take the time to bless us today because we couldn't take the time to thank Him yesterday?
'What if' we never saw another flower bloom because we grumbled when God sent the Rain?
'What if' God didn't walk with us today because we failed to recognize it as His day?
'What if', God took away the Bible tomorrow because we would not read it today?
'What if', God took away His message because we failed to listen to the messenger?
'What if', the door of the church was closed because we did not open the door of our heart?
'What if', God stopped loving and caring for us because we failed to love and care for others?
'What if', God would not hear us today because we would not listen to Him?
'What if', God answered our prayers the way we answer His call to service?
'What if' God couldn't take the time to bless us today because we couldn't take the time to thank Him yesterday?

Hebrews 11:1 - "Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see."
So, there you go: 'Faith' - 'Righteous' - Fulfilled Promises.
